Savage Beauty

In Memory of McQueen
Event Summary: The Metropolitan Museum of Art is honoring Alexander McQueen by showing his work from start to his very last line. This exhibition will be displayed at the Met in New York from May Fourth to July 31st. This exhibition will be showing around 100 of McQueen's garments in order to celebrate his beautiful creations. This exhibition will also display some of the creations McQueen designed for Givenchy from 1996-2001. The focus of his work will be on the dark and romantic side, since these are where most of his most memorable works were centered from. Thank you Andrew Bolton for being the man responsible for this memorable event.
Response: I think that Mcqueen deserved nothing less than an exhibit of his work. He has been an inspiration for so many, and created so much more than most any fashion designers could dream of. He will be remembered for his extreme fashion shows that ended up being more like a play, his beyond amazing designs which are more known as art, and his desire for climbing higher when he has already reached the top. The 100 plus garments are hardly enough to display his potential and ideas, because everything he designed was as flawless as the next. His work is truly like none other, and his ideas were extraordinary, I think this is a better ending to his death than the one he left us with, we are now aloud to let him go in a better memory.
